– Mandatory blind spot sticker to drive in France.
– From the 1 January 2021, all heavy vehicles (more of 3500 Kg. the MMA tractor axle, rigid, buses, vans, trailer and semi-trailers) that they will circulate through France, are required to be equipped with stickers showing the position of blind spots / dead angle.
– The measure was adopted by the French Government to strengthen the protection of vulnerable users (cyclists, pedestrians, scooter users, etc.) that circulate on public roads. It will apply to all heavy vehicles traveling in an urban environment.
– In the decree published on 20/11/2020, relative to the signaling that materializes the blind spots of the vehicles, its location is specified: must be visible on both sides as well as the rear of the vehicle. This signage in the form of a sticker will have a size of 25 x 17 cm.
– will be placed in 3 positions:
> Front right less than 1m. from the front of the vehicle, at a height between 0.90m. y 1,50m.
> Front left less than 1m. from the front of the vehicle, at a height between 0.90m. y 1,50m.
> At the rear of the vehicle on the right, at a height between 0.90m. y 1,50m.
